I\u2019ve spent most of my life circling around art \u2014 photography, music, film\/video, writing \u2014 it helps me make sense of the world. Creativity and an appreciation for beauty guide me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love creating images of all kinds. I became interested in photography when I was in elementary school in Oklahoma. I wasn’t very good, but had a strong interest. Later, when I lived in Virginia, I inherited my grandfathers Minolta Maxxum, a very nice film camera, which I used as often as I could afford to use it, as film and film processing were pretty expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My love of music and photography brought me to Atlanta to study at the Art Institute. After graduating I worked my way into an independent studio, Atlanta On Video production, where I worked for years and learned all about video production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early part of my life I made my living working in video editing, production and staging. The tragic events of 9\/11 changed everything. I moved. I got more education, and I got a job in television broadcasting, where I rode out the great recession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I became disillusioned with my career choices. I left my job at WMAZ. I had to move on for many reasons. I hoped, then struggled, with an ill conceived attempt to make a living with photography, which turned out wasn’t a good idea for me for many other reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to take various jobs to stay afloat. I’ve since settled into driving a school bus here in Warner Robins. It\u2019s stable, honest work that gives me some time and space to focus on things that matter to me \u2014 things like understanding the world through my own lens, growing, creating, and doing good where I can. I’m happy my job as a bus driver aligns with the ability to do some real good. The money’s not great, but I can continue to create without money being paramount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love the craft of studio and portrait photography. I love the unpredictability of event photography. I love simply walking around with my camera and seeing what there is to see. I’ve found, to my surprise, I also enjoy writing. I’m fascinated with technology, and the digital world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite creative outlet is and always will be photography. I’m grateful to finally have some time dedicate to photography. I will create as long as I am able. I choose creation over stagnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
